    About

    Why We Started CareCompare

After years of working with families, one pattern kept surfacing: the strongest driver behind financial planning isn't wealth. It's care.

The same three questions came up again and again β€” and almost nobody was answering them in plain terms for Singapore.

    • β€œHow do I make sure my child is looked after if I'm no longer around?”
    • β€œHow do we keep up the same level of care my loved one gets today?”
    • β€œWhat happens when the primary caregiver can no longer manage?”

In helping families through those transitions we kept hitting the same gap: very few accessible, plain-language resources on care-centric planning in Singapore, and very little that started from what a family actually needs. We built CareCompare to close that gap.

    Who does what

Where CareCompare stops, and an adviser starts

    What CareCompare does

Everything before you talk to anyone β€” free, with no obligation.

    • Publish the real numbers
Therapy rates, assessment fees, nursing home costs and CareShield payouts β€” in plain figures, sourced and dated.
    • Explain what's actually relevant
Which needs tend to come up with autism, additional needs and eldercare β€” where cover applies to them, and where it doesn't. Explanation, not recommendation.
    • Make the introduction
When you want to talk to someone, we connect you to a MAS-licensed adviser experienced with these cases. Free to you β€” the adviser pays us a referral fee.
What a licensed adviser can help with

If and when you want to go further than the numbers.

    • Work out what your family's care actually costs β€” now, and in twenty years
    • Look at who carries that cost if you can't, and for how long
    • Show you where your current arrangements fall short of that need
    • Revisit it as your child grows and your circumstances change

CareCompare is not licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore to provide financial advice. We give you the numbers and the comparison β€” and connect you to someone who is licensed to advise.

    How we're paid

    You never pay us

CareCompare is free for families. We're an introducer: when you ask to be connected, we pass your details to a MAS-licensed financial adviser, and the adviser pays us a referral fee.

That's worth stating plainly, because it shapes what we are. We have an incentive to introduce you to an adviser β€” so the guides have to stand on their own whether or not you ever take the introduction. That's why our content includes the cases where cover doesn't help, not only the ones where it does, and why we don't rank anything by commission.

We are not licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore to provide financial advice, and nothing on this site is a recommendation to buy any product.
